Multi-day exclusive hire

Your wedding doesn't have to be just one day. Give it three.

Lanwades Hall is 80 minutes from London, close enough to reach easily, far enough to feel like a destination. Exclusive hire, from the evening before to the morning after.

Why stay

The extra nights aren't an upgrade. They're the point.

No final goodbye at midnight

A single-day wedding ends the moment everyone has to drive home. With the house to yourselves for two nights, nobody's watching the clock, breakfast the next morning is still part of the day.

The whole house, the whole time

Exclusive use isn't shared with another couple coming through the doors as you depart. It's just yours, gardens, terrace, wedding suite and fourteen further bedrooms, from the afternoon before.

Worth the journey, not despite it

Far enough from London that a day trip never made sense. Close enough that everyone you love can still be there. The distance is the reason to stay, not a drawback to work around.

A real weekend

What a Friday–Sunday actually looks like

Not a brochure fantasy, this is the shape most of our weekend couples choose, built around the Welcome Evening and Cocktail Hour additions.

Friday: access and set-up

The house is yours from 1pm, with bedrooms ready from 4pm. Take the afternoon at your own pace: bring in the flowers and décor, lay out the table plan and place the favours, then step back and see it all come together. With everything set up the day before, there's nothing left to do on the wedding morning. From this moment on there's no other event and no shared spaces, just the house, the gardens and the people you've invited.

Friday evening: Welcome Event

As the light softens, close family and friends who've travelled in early gather for a relaxed first evening together. Choose a food truck on the lawn or a sit-down dinner with our caterers, and the bar stays open until 9:30pm. There's time to catch up properly before the big day, and when the evening winds down nobody has far to go: all 15 bedrooms are included, sleeping up to 30 guests under the same roof.

Saturday morning: breakfast and getting ready

Wake up already at your venue. A continental breakfast basket is waiting in each apartment, so everyone can start the day slowly, coffee in hand. Then get ready in the Wisteria Suite as early or as late as you like, with your favourite people around you. Because everything was set up the day before, the only thing left to think about is yourselves.

Saturday: the ceremony

Guests begin arriving from 1pm, wandering up the drive and out onto the terrace. The ceremony begins at 2, by the fire or out in the sunken garden. Afterwards there are two unhurried hours of drinks and canapés on the terrace until 4, time for photographs, hugs and catching up. Then everyone settles in for the wedding breakfast and speeches, which carry on until around 6:30.

Saturday evening: Cocktail Hour and party

At 6:30, cocktails are served on the terrace alongside tea and coffee, a chance to breathe in the evening air after the meal. Evening guests join from 7, and the cake cutting and first dance follow at around 8, with evening food at 8:30. Then it's music and dancing into the night: the bar closes at 11:30, and carriages are at midnight for anyone heading home. Everyone else simply goes upstairs.

Sunday: cooked breakfast, together

The morning after, everyone who stayed comes down to a cooked breakfast in the Breakfast Room. It's a lovely, unhurried gathering, all together once more, retelling the best bits of the night before over a pot of tea. This is the part a single-day wedding never has room for.

Sunday: check-out

There's no dash to clear out first thing. Check-out is at a gentle 11am, leaving time for a final stroll around the gardens, a last coffee and proper goodbyes before everyone heads home.
